PAST
When I think back to where my musical obsession started, the first memory that comes to mind was listening to throwback RNB music in my aunties Toyota lancer. To then going home and hearing salsa music blasting from my mothers speakers. I played piano, guitar, a bit of the bass and drums it was all so fascinating to me that you can put some chords together and sounds to create something so beautiful. I was always drawn to energy when it came to music, Pop music was just so fun to me which led me to my first musical obsession, EDM.
The euphoric energy being projected from layers on layers of different synthesisers left me in awe. A friend just so happen to have a copy of FL Studio on a CD and from that moment I was hooked. I can’t explain how I lost I would get in that software, it was the one thing I enjoyed studying and learning about.
I started producing my own EDM music in high school, releasing it onto Soundcloud to which I dawned the name ‘FreshOne’. Okay look the name started because of my obsession with the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. So I created a list of producer names including the word ‘Fresh’ and after presenting the names to my friend he hated them all but with FreshOne, it was the only name he said was “okay” so I ran with it.
PRESENT
I started appreciating rap music a lot more towards the end of high school, I guess following along to relatable lyrics gave me a lot of comfort at the time. This is when I started directing my musical attention towards trap music. Something about heavy 808s alongside hard hitting kicks, alongside the history of rap music as a whole just seemed so cool to me.
So I went back to producing music but this time with a heavy focus on rap music, but because I didn’t want to sing/rap on my beats I just used acapella’s from famous artists and just layered them on top of my beats. This was fun for a while until I wanted to start taking it seriously and putting my music out there on streaming services. I didn’t just want to put instrumentals out and all the underground rappers of western Sydney weren’t getting back to me on instagram so I guess I had no other choice, it was time for me to give the mic a go.

FUTURE
I’m so new to recording my own vocals and using them on my beats but you know what, we all have to start somewhere. I honestly don’t know where music is going to take me, all I know is that this passion and love for music has not once ever faded away for me.
Music is embedded in my DNA. As time goes on I will be improving it all, my music producing, my rapping, all of it. Tag along for the ride, see ya at the top!
